Take the peeled potatoes in a saucepan and cover it with water.
Boil the potatoes until they can come clean off a fork.
Then place a saucepan on medium flame and add olive oil, garlic cloves, and onion. Cook until the onion and garlic give away a translucent color.
Drain the potatoes from the boiling water and put them in a blender.
Add the saucepan mix of cooked onion and garlic, to the potatoes in the blender.
Add nutritional yeast and salt, and blend until a smooth sauce is formed.
Put this mixture in a saucepan on high flame and add butter.
Cook until the ingredients mix well and a thick sauce is formed.
Add the sauce to the pasta of choice and serve.
